Responsibility and the Power of Words
There is such synchronicity in things. Val led the way with her talk about responsibility. My Guides have led me to speak to you about Personal Responsibility.
Many of you can be forgiven if you are feeling that life is challenging, life is chaotic. Maybe you are feeling sad, perhaps emotional, you might be feeling very tired right now. This has to do with the energies that are swirling around us and so I connect into my Guides, they speak about the
process of completion this year.
This year has been about resetting, about reflection, it has been about clearing in preparation for, not just a New Year, but a brand-new era.
Next year is a Number One year so it is a new beginning so, next year is quite a profound step for many of us. If you have felt that this year has been extraordinary on a physical, mental and emotional level it is correct to think that because it has been on purpose. That song we just sang, “Creating the World by Design.” Sometimes you have to dig the foundation first and if the foundations are not solid you have to dig deeper and that is what this year has been about. Clearing away of any unnecessary behaviours, beliefs and limitations.
Even as we were driving here, my wife and I were talking about limitations because, inadvertently things come out of your mouth that limit your perspective. And this just reflects the deep beliefs that you are still carrying. And we only have a few more weeks for this year so, we have some work to do if there are any aspects of limitations that are still present in your life.
There have been movements of our higher learning and of understanding our place in the Universe this year. We have been pushed into our own retrograde. Currently we have the alignment of 6 planets and an alien comet to try and understand. This, coupled with the solar flare activities which have been extreme, shows that we have really been pushed quite strongly. Along with that, 2026 is leading towards more direct awareness of our inner truth.
Sometimes we can delude ourselves. As spiritualists, we can look too much on the positive and ignore the shadow that lurks behind. Retrograde is about pushing us into the shadow, forcing us to stop looking outwards and to begin looking inwards. And this year, there have been multiple opportunities for us to dig deep.
Pluto recently went direct into Aquarius. Now, Pluto is the Underworld. It is the thing that have been lurking deep within and is now rising to the surface. Aquarius has the energy of “let’s break it and make it better” so we have been sharpened like a piece of coal that has been compressed till we shine brightly as the diamonds that we can be.
My Guides talked a lot this week about potential, about people needing to rise to their potential. They gave me the analogy of shaking a basket of rocks and letting the rocks come to the surface they are saying NO! NO! NO! It is actually a process of awakening. Awakening the process of you stepping fully into your truth. This is not a shaking of the basket. You have to choose what you want to be. Do you want to be the diamond? Then throw away the rest.
Too many of you are carrying baskets of rocks that can never be a diamond and say, “This is my truth.” Well, we are not here to reprimand you. We are here to hold you accountable for what you let out in the world.
There is a creative process occurring and this creativity is process of unfolding. It is not something that is just happening. You have to work with it. There is vulnerability which is part of the awakening process that needs to occur, and it is the vulnerability that people are frightened of. Marianne Williamson said it well when she said, “You are frightened of your light not your darkness.” And this is the truth. This year we have often been shown the darkness, and we push it away not realising that it is the doorway to the brightness that lives within us.
This year has been a deep reflective period, a gathering period of the wisdomlearned, especially in believe it or not in 2006, 2007. It took me a bit to go back to that place and think, “What was I going through.” The lessons we started learning in that time frame are being finished now. The completion date for those lessons is 31st December 2025, so we have a clock running. It feels like a lot of pressure, but my Guides are saying that we are more than enough to complete this journey.
A rare and potent period holds us with the 6 planet and a planetoid that is Chiron, in retrograde until 28th November, so we have got only a couple of weeks while this portent energy brings out the inner light into sharper focus. Our preconceived ideas of who we are being challenged. We are also being pushed to see from the perspective of others, not just ourselves. We get quite insular when we are frightened. We close off our vison of what is around us. But remember this, fear pushes, a vision pulls. So, while we are being pushed, we are being pushed out of our holes, out of our ruts into a new beginning where the vision will unfold and we will finally be pulled forwards by something glorious, something that we want in our lives.
The song rang true when it said that we can design our lives. And remember the design you have already written before you incarnated into this space.
The 1st Planet in retrograde is Jupiter. Now Jupiter is amplifying our expansive truth-seeking energy.
I had a new Guide come through, Bathsheba and she said to me, “Take no nonsense.” And I say it to you – take no nonsense! You will find things said to you and you think, “Um, that’s not right. It just doesn’t meet my inner standards.” Listen. Take no nonsense. It is helping us to grow with wisdom and self-worth leading to a broader vision of our lives. Illustration through reflecting. Creating the colourful world that we wish, requires us to pick up the paint brush.
The 2nd Planet is Neptune which is also in retrograde. Neptune reawakens our spiritual core but, more importantly, it integrates that core into our daily life. That is something I am very much interested in. How do we live these truths, not just learn them. I have studied a lot but still the question arises, how to put it into practice. It is easy to be in this space here and speak about personal responsibility until you get on Bungower Road and want to turn left, that is when the true lesson begins.
The 3rd Planet in retrograde is Uranus, the hammer that reinvents. I like that. When they said that, I said “My God, Yes!” Uranus is the change-maker. It is the hammer that make something new out of the old, allowing for possibilities and the renewed application of our soul’s direction. I guarantee back in 2006 you would have thought and had dreams that still have not been realised. I know because I have got my diaries to prove it. I had so many plans. What happened? Well, I got in the way, so Uranus is here to use the hammer to reinvent the direction.
Chiron is about healing past limitations and bleak patterns. Expanding our self-worth. Chiron is the centurion healer about to strike. He knows exactly where to aim his arrow to affect the healing that you need. Never shy away from healing because it is the transition, the doorway into the next space.
Many years ago, I had a mentor who described life as being a series of rooms and every room that you go into you have already been redesigning, redecorating the next room. This is what Chiron is doing. It is helping you prepare for the next room. But you must be doing some healing to walk through that door and across the threshold.
The 5th Planet is Mercury. Our favourite. When we are having challenges, blame Mercury retrograde. You only have a few weeks to blame Mercury before personal responsibility takes over. With the extreme activity of the Sun sending our bursts of light Mercury, ruled by Mars, is charging our 3rd Eye Chakra. It is offering mental clarity. This clarity pushes us to balance our mental and heart selves and by doing this work, we develop a deep knowing about what our truths are. You think you know now but, when you clear away the layers you will find a different truth waiting for you. It has been guiding you all your life,but you haven’t recognised it because of all the noise and distraction.
This clarity pushes us. We are shown how our words carry power. Each word is infused with intention, truth and purpose. Under the guidance of the soul-self,we can trust that direction. So, learning to trust that inner guidance is part of the path forwards. Our words hold power.
So, how do we do that. How do we put our spiritual understanding into a daily practice? And they did say that we can take advantage of this potent time by establishing a spiritual practice. How many here meditate daily? How many do some energy healing on themselves at least once or twice a week? We need to establish it as an ongoing practice. They are talking about contemplation activities. Believe it or not prayer is part of it. Does anyone know what the shortest prayer is? Yes, thank you is a prayer. If you don’t know what to say just say “thank you.”
Meditation and other activities give you an understanding of the Divine transcendent lives, going beyond the ego, beyond what you know. Being unafraid to be vulnerable or not to know something is the first step of knowing. It means that you are no longer unconscious, but you consciously know that you don’t know something.
I am reading a book called the “Corpus Hermeticum” (see Note 1) which is the original writing of a fusion of the Greek god Hermes and the Egyptian god Thoth. It speaks about getting to know the light. Getting to know and establish a relationship with the light. That is what a spiritual practice is. You can do it sitting at a stop light in your car. You can do it anywhere.
The Reset we have been experiencing this year is to accelerate our ascension and spiritual revolution. It is not a mistake that we are here on this planet. Many of us are experiencing the passing of our loved ones, they are choosing to leave now. But we are staying and we are staying for a reason. It is not a mistake that we are actively looking at our spiritual selves. And this is also determined byour commitment to align to our higher calling. This is something else and this is where Personal Responsibility comes in.
Just because it says Personal Responsibility up there on the banner, it doesn’t mean that you can read it and then walk out the door. I have said it before. My Guides have been quite hot on this recently for myself as much as for those around me. It is a process of stripping away so that when you say something, you say it with intention and it evokes an energy in the world because, although we are one, everything we do impacts the many.
When you give you are receiving. When you receive you are receiving what you have already given. It is one of those maxims that is a spiritual truth. And in this process, we strip away the conditional layers of self to reveal our true nature and something that is favoured for the coming new age. Michael Beckwith said recently in a lecture, “Open yourself up now to a sacred calling of your soul. The calling of excellence, integrity, generosity, and creativity.” Begin right where you are. Not somewhere you are going to be. Have you ever listened to yourself saying, “I’ll do that next, I’ll do that later or I’m doing it soon.” That is living in the future.
And ask, “How can I bring about excellence right where I am? How can I bring about beauty right where I am? How can I bring about peace and love right where I am?
Where you are now is the point of power. It is where all change occurs. Not in the future. It is already gone if it is in the past. It is right now. Where you are right now. This creates the ripe condition for your unfoldment into the next iteration of yourself — the gestation and birth of that perfect spiritual idea. You are answering the call to greatness, and that is what we are here to do. And yes,every one of you is a greatness and a becoming. We are what proceeds out of the mouth of God.
As many of you know I am a student of “A Course in Miracles” and one of the teachings is that we are children of God. We are not separate from God. We are an extension of God’s love. We are not just a self-identity. If you look around,you will see self-identities everywhere. These are the masks that we don while we live in this reality. We don these masks so that we can experience what is happening around us, but they are masks, they are not our truth.
If you look deeper, every single one of you is the same energy; you are all children of God.
Every part of our experiences are teaching us to believe our connection with the Divine. You are becoming beings who can now see with your hearts the power the presence and love of God that is everywhere, fully and completely. So, it takes the veil off our eyes. It take the forgetting that we have practiced for such a long time and throws it away so that we can remember. We are not learning anything new. We are just remembering what we forgot, which can be quite fun, it can be quite challenging too because what you are doing is, you are taking full responsibility for your life and doing the work necessary to rise in consciousness.
Expanding your awareness is about breaking the edges so that you can grow. You can’t grow once you have filled that box. And who is defining the boxes?Sometimes it is the school. I was told that I would not amount to much. I wanted to learn a language; I was told I wasn’t bright enough. I was held back because I didn’t have the right grades. I now have two degrees, a Master’s, and I am studying for my PhD. I would like to laugh at all those teachers who said that I wouldn’t amount to much. It is all perception, and I believed them for such a long time. But you get to a place where you realise that you don’t fit that identity anymore. I can be who I choose to be.
Now I do want to talk about a phenomenon that is happening right now. It is the 31 Atlas comet, the special comet that is flying into our galaxy. It was discovered on the 1st of July 2025, and it is travelling at 61 kilometres per second. But more important is that it originated on the outskirts of the Milki Way about 6 or 7 billion years ago. It has never come into our galaxy before,and it will never come back.
It began in the constellation Sagittarius and, if you were to see images of it, it looks like a flying saucer. It does not have a tail, it has a cylindrical shape with lights, but what is more interesting is that it changes direction. It moves closer to planetary objects. It moved closer to the Sun so that it could absorb new energy. It is actually older that planet Earth so, the fact that it is coming into our galaxy at this time indicates that we are beginning a New Age. It is the herald of the new age. We had the herald of the Christian age with the Star of David over two thousand years ago and this is our new herald.
It is a comet that is about new beginnings. We are also being bombarded by intense light so we are being illuminated, and it serves as a conscious energy amplifier so, everything you are experiencing now you could be justified in thinking, “I’ve had enough. It’s too much.” But hold on, it is only for a few more weeks. Oh, I’ve just been told there will be some more next year. But we will be better at coping with it by then. What is that saying? “What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger.”
So, the comet is the herald of new beginnings. Bashar (see Note 2) has recently expressed that it is an engineered object developed by an advanced civilisation.And it has been travelling to collect information. So on about the 19th of December, look up and smile, you might be on one of those celestial billboards.
Regardless, many of the channeled messages highlight that the comet is a spiritual catalyst that is to aid the coming of the New Age. The catalyst opens our channels to access the higher information and knowledge, and again this is from Mchael Beckwith. For those who don’t know Mchael is a spiritual teacher in America. He established a center called the Agape Spiritual Center, and he first came to fame in the movie “The Secret.” (see Note 3).
So, he said, “Real thinking is allowing Divine inspiration to come through you so that you see life differently. It means having a level of spiritual practice that penetrates where you conform to the world of circumstances, opinions and media overload so that you begin to have a dynamic realization of the capital R - Real earth Real reality, where we see the presence of God everywhere.”
He speaks a lot about this alignment, and I think that this is something about the lesson for today. One of the key things that they did say is that we sometimes need a set of guiding principles to help us go through this period and this is something they gave me to use. It is called Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. (see Note 4)

1. Corpus Hermeticum is a collection of 17 Egyptian Greek wisdom texts, written between the 1st and 3rd centuries CE and attributed to the mythical figure Hermes Trismegistus. It is the foundational text for Hermeticism, a religious and philosophical tradition that discusses topics like the divine, the cosmos, alchemy, astrology, and the nature of the soul, emphasizing a spiritual rebirth through knowledge. 2. Bashar is a friend from the future who has spoken for the past 40 years through channel Darryl Anka. He has brought through a wave of new information that clearly explains in detail how the universe works, and how each person creates the reality they experience. Over the years, thousands of individuals have had the opportunity to apply these principles and see that they really work to change their lives and create the reality that they desire.
3. Michael Beckwith is a spiritual leader, author, and founder of the Agape International Spiritual Center in Los Angeles, known for his teachings on New Thought and conscious evolution. He is the creator of the "Life Visioning Process" and a featured teacher in the film and book The Secret. His work focuses on practical spirituality, including meditation, affirmative prayer, and using these practices to achieve inner peace and live one's purpose.

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) is a mindfulness-based psychotherapy that helps people accept difficult thoughts and feelings without judgment while committing to actions that align with their personal values. It focuses on increasing psychological flexibility, which is the ability to be present and flexible in one's behaviour, even when experiencing pain, rather than trying to eliminate negative emotions.
